Silk route cafe, Dehradun

Silk route cafe is a beautiful cafe located in Rajpur, Dehradun. It's a perfect place to organise a party. It's beautiful, has enough seating indoor and outdoor, and serves delicious cakes and cookies.

I had a couple of things here which actually were really good. I won't say the drinks were really good as they were average but yes the sandwiches I had were yummy.

Ambience-
The ambience is good. There is enough seating available. Its spacious and both indoor and outdoor seating is available so you can choose wherever you want to sit. Also the cafe is beautifully decorated.

Service
The service and staff is good. The service was quick and food served was fresh. We got our order in 15 minutes.
PS- gave us enough time to click some great pictures.

Food
So I had a few things here. Sandwiches and burger.
I had the grilled cheese sandwiches which were so good. They were served with fries and tomato ketchup. The fries were perfect. The sandwiches were stuffed with cheese and oregano which gave it a mind blowing taste.

I also had the veg cheese burger they serve. It did not sooth my taste buds much. I loved the cheese in it and the patty too was good. But it had some oil in it which didn't taste good. It was also served with fries and tomato ketchup.

I also had the hot chocolate which was average. The first sip was not at all impressive, felt like I was having bournvita and milk but gradually I could feel chocolatey taste dominating the bournvita taste. It wasn't mixed well as all the chocolate had settled down.
Also we tried their masala chai and lemon ginger honey tea which were good.

Pros-
1. It's a beautiful place for clicking some beautiful pictures.
2. They serve desserts on weekends, so don't forget to visit on the weekends. Also the staff is really nice.
3. You can visit them during the evening, and watch the beautiful moon rise. The scenic beauty is just amazing here. You won't find it in some other cafe in Dehradun.
4. You can organise parties here, it's spacious and if you let them know a day prior, you can get anything you would like to eat which is not mentioned on the menu. Also you can get cakes here so if you want you can organise a party and order a cake too.

Cons-
1. The desserts are only served on the weekends. Although the owner was kind to give me a cookie but I wish there was more I could try as I'm a big dessert fan.
2. You won't get alcohol here.
3. The presentation of the food was dull.
